A DAY IN OUR LIFE...

...Sunday Morning At St. Luke's

Built in 1832, St. Luke's Church sits in the center of Hope, New Jersey, a tiny village that seems to be about 150 years, rather than less than two hours, from Manhattan. The Moravians who first settled in Hope are long-gone, but St. Luke's remains, its fortress-like stone structure still sheltering a small, welcoming, Episcopal congregation lead by the Rev. William Ambrose Potter, who graciously made it possible for these images to be made.  If, as you're viewing the first of these images, you wonder where the congregation may be, remember the children's rhyme, "Here's the church, there's the steeple, open the door..."
